How to insert Ads into your blog Sidebar
Unless you are running your own advertisement service you will have to sign up with an advertisement network like adsense or yahoo ad network.
Adsense is currently the most popular and widely used network and hence all of my walk-throughs about Ad-Management using Wp-Insert will be based on adsense codes.
After creating an adsense ad you will be led to a adsense page which will look similar to the one below.
You have to copy the highlighted code to insert into your blog.
Now you have to log in to your wordpress admin section and look towards the end of the big wordpress menu to find the Wp-Insert section.
Click on “Manage Ads (Posts and Sidebars)” and you will be led to the Wp-Insert Manage ads page for In Post Ads and Sidebar Ads.
Now Click on one of the Ad Widgets on the Right. Lets Click on Ad Widget : 1 and it will open up revealing a list of options
First You have to click “Click To Activate” button to activate the Ad widget. Then enter a title (optional) for the ad widget I am entering “Advertisements” as the title. Then in the box below which says “Ad Code” you can enter the adsense code which we copied earlier. Then you have to click the Blue button at the bottom of the page which says “Save Changes”. Wait for the page to refresh. Ad Widget : 1 will look something similar to the one here
Now Click on the Widgets Menu under apperance
You will now see the widgets page similar to the one shown here
Drag the WP-Insert Ad Widget : 1 in to the sidebar of your choice
You are Ready to deliver ads through your blogs sidebar. That wasn’t difficult.. Was It?
