I will probably wait for arras to release an update than to run around looking for a fix..Until then enjoy 2011 Default theme.

UPDATE : The fix was comparatively easy, hence decide to go for it.

If you were to run Arras 1.5.0.1 on the latest build of WordPress 3.2, you would probably run into this error upon activation:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud::WP_Widget_Tag_Cloud() in ..../wp-content/themes/arras/library/widgets.php on line 355

To fix this, simply replace line 355 of /library/widgets.php from:

function Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud() { $this->WP_Widget_Tag_Cloud(); }

to:

function Arras_Widget_Tag_Cloud() { parent::__construct(); }

Log Files

In the Internet context, this can be accomplished easily by the posting of an information practice disclosure describing an entity’s information practices on a company’s site on the Web. To be effective, such a disclosure should be clear and conspicuous, posted in a prominent location, and readily accessible from both the site’s home page and any Web page where information is collected from the consumer. It should also be unavoidable and understandable so that it gives consumers meaningful and effective notice of what will happen to the personal information they are asked to divulge.

Many critics have attacked the efficacy and legitimacy of privacy policies found on the Internet. Concerns exist about the effectiveness of industry-regulated privacy policies. For example, a 2000 FTC report Privacy Online: Fair Information Practices in the Electronic Marketplace1 found that while the vast majority of website surveyed had some manner of privacy disclosure, most did not meet the standard set in the FTC Principles. In addition, many organizations reserve the express right to unilaterally change the terms of their policies. In June 2009 the EFF website TOSback began tracking such changes on 56 popular internet services, including the monitoring the privacy policies of Amazon, Google and Facebook.

There are also questions about whether consumers understand privacy policies and whether they help consumers make more informed decisions. A 2002 report from the Stanford Persuasive Technology Lab contended that a website’s visual designs had more influence than the website’s privacy policy when consumers assessed the website’s credibility. A 2007 study by Carnegie Mellon University claimed “when not presented with prominent privacy information…” consumers were “…likely to make purchases from the vendor with the lowest price, regardless of that site’s privacy policies.” However, the same study contends where privacy information is clearly presented, consumers prefer retailers who better protect their privacy and may “pay a premium to purchase from more privacy protective websites.” Furthermore, a 2007 Berkeley study found that “75% of consumers think as long as a site has a privacy policy it means it won’t share data with third parties,” confusing the existence of a privacy policy with extensive privacy protection.

Critics also question if consumers even read privacy policies or can understand what they read. A 2001 study by the Privacy Leadership Initiative claimed only 3% of consumers read privacy policies carefully, and 64% briefly glanced at, or never read, privacy policies. One possible issue is length and complexity of policies. According to a 2008 Carnegie Mellon study the average length of a privacy policy is 2,500 words, the research and requires an average 10 minutes to read. The study cited that “Privacy policies are hard to read” and, as a result, “read infrequently”.

While there is no universal guidance for the content of specific privacy policies, a number of organizations provide example forms or online wizards which generate Privacy policies.

This was one of the main concern from me while inserting ad above the post content or in the middle of it.

What I use to do was insert the ad manually into the template and enclose the ad code in a DIV and then style the DIV using CSS from the theme style sheet.

I often experiments with ad position and this was proving a highly time consuming and inefficient method.

With Wp-Insert you can style each individual ad block the way you want it.

I shall now create a margin of 10 pixels around the ad at the top of my post.  This process can be repeated for sidebar ads, template ads and other in post ad types too.

Towards the bottom of the box you can see the “Ad Box CSS Styler” section which simply lets you add CSS style to the ad.

Here Wp-Insert automatically assign the style values “margin: 5px;padding: 0px;” and these values are perfect fit with most themes out there. but you never know when you need to do that tiny bit of tweaking!

So I am going to assing a margin of 10px around the ad to make more space between the post and the ad content.

Click save and you have successfully increased the margin around the ads. In case you want a border around the ad type “border: 1px solid #000;” after the “margin: 10px;” part, Essentially the styles accepts all css styles so its pretty much your imagination at work here.

I have been asked these questions several times since I began working on WordPress Projects.

Wp-Insert has an easy way to accomplish just this.

Suppose I don’t want to show the ad above my page/post content on my Contact Us Page.

I head over to Wp-Insert – Manage Ads (Posts and Sidebars) page and expand the “Ad – Above Post Content” Section.

Now in the “Exclude on Posts/Page” section you can either directly enter the page/post ids of the pages/post you want to prevent the particular ad from showing up or you can click the tiny search button on the right to bring up the Post/Page picker Popup.

(If the pop-up stopped appearing after an upgrade just clear your browser cache and it should reappear. If it still doesn’t appear try deleting and then reinstalling the plugin)

Now you can pick the posts/pages using the buttons or by double clicking the page titles in the left box. Similarly to remove posts/pages from the selection you can use the icons or double click them in the right box.

Click OK. and Save the Entire page.

Preventing ads from showing op on particular pages is a feature that’s missing in many other plugins.

Some plugins which impliment them does not have the provision to control the ads indivigually.

On most occasions we would want the ads embedded inside the post only to be eliminated from a particular page or post and would want to continue showing them on other parts of the site.

Some sites have even used this feature to include page specific tracking codes.
